Offwell Parish Council has some Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funds to spend for the benefit of the village (approx £3,000).
Common Examples of What CIL Money Can Be Spent On:
  • Community facilities: Village halls, community buildings and sports pavilions.
  • Recreation and green spaces: Play areas, gardens, parks, sports facilities and tree planting.
  • Public spaces: Benches, bus shelters, litter bins, signage and public artwork.
  • Safety and amenities: Defibrillators, public toilets, allotments, lighting and path improvements.
  • Transport and parking: Car and cycle parking, cycle stands and pedestrian improvements.
  • Environmental projects: Climate change initiatives and other local green projects.
We have received some suggestions including:.
  • A fixed speed camera or speed warning sign for the village
  • A hearing aid loop for the village hall
  • A footpath to Windmill Garage from the electricity sub-station.
We invite you to comment on these suggestions or to put a different one forward.
